  1. Click on the windows Start button after that click on control panel
  2. Click on Appearance an Personalization link
  3. Click on Folder Options link.
  4. Click on the View tab in the Folder Options window
  5. In the Advance settings: area, locate the hidden files and folders category.
  6. Choose the show hidden files, folders, and drives radio button under the hidden files and folders category.
  7. Click OK at the bottom of the Folder Options window.
  8. Close the control panel window that’s still open.

if you want to show hidden files and folders in Windows vista or Windows XP then follow these steps:-
  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Click control Panel
  3. Click Folder Options
  4. Click the View tab
  5. Click Show hidden files and folders
  6. If you want to see system files as well , unclick Hide protected operating system files(Recommended).
  7. Click on Apply and then Ok .
