How to Erase a Re-writable CD/DVD on Windows Vista / Windows 7 without using a software.

In this post I will tell you how to Erase a Re-writable CD/DVD on Windows Vista or 7 without using a Software. Generally for any function like burning, copying, erasing e.t.c we use Nero or any other software. But windows have inbuilt facility to read/write and other functions . it has inbuilt function to Erase a Re-writable CD/DVD on Windows Vista or 7 without using a Software. for this follow these steps:


1.   At first Insert a re-writable CD/DVD disc into the CD/DVD drive.
2.   Now navigate to "Computer" (Double-click on Computer from your desktop or press Windows key + E)
3.   Right-click on the CD/DVD drive icon and select "Erase this disc"






4.   A burn to disk wizard will open .please check the box "close this wizard after the disk is erased. Now click "Next". 



5.   After this Windows will start erasing the disc and it will automatically close the wizard when finish.



In this way you have erased a Re-writable CD/DVD on Windows Vista / Windows 7  without using a software.
