Managing notifications for Mail, Calander,People, and messaging in
windows 8 is not so difficult. In windows
8 we have email, messages, calendar events, status updates, and Tweets
notifications in the upper-right corner, quick status and detailed status
updates on the lock screen, and tiles on the Start screen. So if you want to
customize the way how you notified then take a glance below:
To change which notifications appear at upper-right
corner
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen > tap Settings. (If you're using a mouse: point to the upper-right corner of the screen> move the mouse pointer down> click Settings.)
- Tap or click Change PC settings
- In Notifications, under Show notifications from these apps, set the app you want to on or off.
To hide all notifications in this area
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Settings. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Settings.)
- Tap or click Notifications.
- Tap or click the option for how long you want notifications hidden.
- If you want to turn them back on before the time period is over, tap or click Notifications again.
To change notifications for a specific account
- On Start, tap or click Mail.
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Settings. (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Settings.)
- Tap or click Accounts.
- Select the account you want to change notifications for.
- Set Show email notifications for this account to On or Off.
In this way you can manage notifications for Mail,
Calander, People, and messaging in windows 8.
