 How to track a lost cell phone

if you have lost your cell phone, then don't worry, you can track your lost cell phone by the following methods:-

For andriod phones

you can find approximate location on a map by Android Device Manager. Cell phone should be turned on for tracking and it should have active mobile data or wifi connection . For this, you have to open Android Device Manager app then sign in by the google account attached to your lost cell phone. You can see the approximate location of your cell phone. you can ring or lock the cell phone and even erase all the data stored on your cell phone.

For iPhone

For iPhone users, Find My iPhone is very useful application. you can access it through iOS device or a browser. It works with iCloud.

3. Click on " All devices" and select your lost device.
4. Now you have three options - Play sound, Lost Mode and Erase iPhone.

• If you have lost your iPhone in home or anywhere near you then choose the Play sound option. Now, your phone will play a sound at high volume even if it is in silent mode. So,you can get your iPhone by hearing this sound.
• If you will choose the option of LOST MODE then it will lock your lost iPhone with a password given by you. You can display a message on your iPhone. you can send your address or contact no to your lost iPhone through ths message. So that the person who find your iPhone can contact you.
• Erase iPhone : if you are not able to find iPhone and it contains some private data then you can opt this option. It will erase all the data of your iPhone. but, if you have choosed Lost Mode before erase iPhone option. Then your sent message will be diisplayed after erasing the data (condition is that your lost phone should have iOS 7 )

Windows phone

For tracking your lost windows cell phone, you should be already signed in on your lost phone using Microsoft account. Now follow the steps:-

1. Go to account.microsoft.com/devices . Now sign in with the Microsoft account ID of your lost windows phone.
2. Now choose your phone and click on " Find My Phone ".
3. Now you can view the map with your windows phone location. you have three options: rin, Lock and Erase your Phone.
