how to improve system speed

Due to ignorance many people are not able to use their system properly. But if you follow some simple steps then your system speed will definitely improve.

  1. Don’t open any application before your computer boot up completely.
  2. After closing any application refresh your desktop by clicking right click button of your mouse. It will remove unused files from your RAM.
  3. Protect your computer from dust. Dust jams CPU cooling fan and slow down thereby gradually heating your CPU and affecting the processing speed. Use compressed air to blow out any dust from the CPU. Never use vacuum cleaner
  4. Never make your Desktop cloud of shortcuts. Each shortcut on the desktop uses up to 500 bytes of RAM. Hence slowing system speed.
  5. During installation of new Software disable the option of a tray icon. The tray icon uses available RAM, and slows down the booting speed of your PC. Also disable the option of starting the application automatically when the PC boots. You can disable these options later on from the Tools or preferences menu in your application.
  6. Empty the recycle bin of your pc regularly. The files are not deleted completely until you empty the recycle bin.
  7. Always make two partitions in your hard drive. Install all large Softwares (like PSP, Photoshop, 3DS Max etc) in the second partition. Windows uses all the available empty space in C drive as virtual memory when your Computer RAM is full. Keep the C Drive as empty as possible.
  8. Defragment hard drives of your computer once every two months. This will free up a lot of space on your hard drive and rearrange the files so that your applications run faster.
  9. Delete the temporary internet files regularly. If possible install Ccleaner on your computer
